Monday Night Film - New Season

Monday night films at the Centre for Cultural Studies will start up again from 16 January 2012. 

Films have been selected in relation to the ‘Text and Image’ and ‘Cultural Studies and Capitalism’ MA courses. Both courses have their lectures open to the public.

23 January - Some Like it Hot (dir. Billy Wilder, 1959)

30 January - Bladerunner (dir. Ridley Scott, 1982)

6 February - Lost Highway (dir. David Lynch, 1997)

13 February – Reading Week Double Bill : La Haine (dir. Mathieu Kassowitz, 1995) followed by Injustice (dir. Ken Fero and Tariq Mehmood, 2002)

20 February - Perfect Sense (dir. David Mackenzie, 2011)

27 February - Sammie and Rosie Get Laid (dir. Stephen Frears, 1987)

5 March - 200 Motels (dir. Tony Palmer and Frank Zappa, 1971)

12 March - Avatar (dir. James Cameron, 2009)

19 March - tbc

Films start at 7.15 pm and will be shown in the Council Room, Laurie Grove Baths, Laurie Grove, New Cross.
